The municipality is located at an altitude of 320 meters above sea level, in the historic region of Marmilla, bordering the north with Barigadu, east with Sarcidano and southeast with Trexenta. It is the northernmost village of the upper Marmilla, famous for the presence of the Giara plateau above it and for having given birth to the blessed Capuchin Brother Nicholas. It turns out to be a prominent place not only from a landscape point of view, but it is also an important religious center that also presents interesting archaeological aspects.
