
Not far from the Giara Park, about 20 Km, you can visit the Castle of Sanluri , the only still habitable of the 88 castles built in Sardinia during the Middle Ages, by a judge D'Arborea, defending the border with the judges of Cagliari. Between 1383 and 1388, he also lived in this castle Eleonora D’Arborea, the most important and well-known character of the judicial period. Today, several very important museums, such as the Crimping and the Risorgimento, are housed inside, as well as the period furnishings.

In the same period is the Castle located in the most natural, Las Plassas hill, built to delimit the boundary between Arborea and Judge of Cagliari. The extraordinary and curious shape of the Las Plassas hill, from the name to the surrounding area, “the Marmilla”, as it remembers a big "breast".
